The San Antonio Brahmas moved linebacker Robert Barnes to the retired list on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Robert Barnes is six foot two and weighs 221 pounds. The 26-year-old from Southlake, Texas, attended the Seattle Seahawks rookie minicamp in 2023. The San Antonio Brahmas signed Barnes on August 9, 2023. In 2024, Barnes made 21 tackles (12 solos, 9 assists) in 10 games. The Brahmas re-signed Barnes on August 24, 2024.
Collegiately, Barnes played four seasons at Oklahoma (2017-20) making 78 tackles (49 solos, 29 assists), one tackle for loss, two interceptions for 32 yards, four pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 32 games for the Sooners. Then, Barnes transferred to Colorado (2021-22) making 77 tackles (50 solos, 27 assists), 5.5 tackles for loss, half a sack, one interception, two pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 23 games for the Buffaloes.
