
The San Antonio Brahmas signed offensive lineman Briason Mays on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Briason Mays is six foot four and weighs 295 pounds. The 25-year-old from Bolivar, Tennessee, signed with the San Franciso 49ers as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. The 49ers released him on August 2, 2024.
Collegiately, Mays played three seasons at West Virginia (2018-20) playing center in 15 games for the Mountaineers. In 2020, West Virginia averaged 26.50 points per game, 135.1 rushing yards per game, 277.50 passing yards per game, 412.6 total yards per game, 32 touchdowns, and allowed 21 sacks finishing 6-4 for the season.
Then, he transferred to Southern Mississippi (2021-23) playing center and left guard in 34 games for the Golden Eagles. In 2023, Southern Mississippi averaged 23.17 points per game, 162.6 rushing yards per game, 190.67 passing yards per game, 353.3 total yards per game, 33 touchdowns, and allowed 35 sacks finishing 3-9 for the season.
