
The NASCAR Xfinity Series visited Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday night in the Bennett Transportation & Logistics 250. Richard Childress Racing driver Jesse Love started the race on the pole with his teammate Austin starting in the second position. Jesse Love led 13 laps and finished in 16th place.
There were eight cautions in the race including two major wrecks. On lap 119, a four-car collision involved drivers Taylor Gray, Connor Zilisch, Blaine Perkins, and Jeremy Clements. Out of the four drivers, Gray was out of the race. The other accident happened on lap 143 involving Connor Zilisch, Sam Mayer, Anthony Alfredo, Brennan Poole, and Nick Sanchez. Poole and Sanchez’s cars survived and were able to continue the race.
Upfront, Austin Hill fought Aric Almirola for the lead late in the race. On the last lap, Justin Allgaier beat Aric Almirola to take second place while Austin Hill won his first race of the season by .216 seconds. Hill led 146 of 163 laps, passing Dale Earnhardt Jr (691) for the most laps led at drafting tracks in the Xfinity Series. This was also his third consecutive win at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
The rest of the top finishers were Aric Almirola third, Sammy Smith fourth, Nick Sanchez fifth, Jeb Burton sixth, Daniel Dye seventh, Leland Honeyman eighth, William Sawalich ninth, and Harrison Burton tenth.
