The D.C. Defenders signed defensive back Kerry Joseph on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Kerry Joseph is six foot one and weighs 195 pounds. The 25-year-old from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the second round (44th pick) of the 2021 NFL Draft. He played two seasons in Dallas making 36 tackles (30 solos, 6 assists), one tackle for loss, and one fumble recovery in 26 games, of which three were starts.

Joseph also spent time with the Miami Dolphins, Seattle Seahawks, Kansas City Chiefs, Indianapolis Colts, and Minnesota Vikings. He made four tackles (4 solos) in seven games.

Collegiately, Joseph played one season at LSU in 2018 making 12 tackles (11 solos, 1 assist), and one pass breakup in 11 games. Then, he transferred to Kentucky in 2020 making 25 tackles (14 solos, 11 assists), one tackle for loss, four interceptions for 62 yards, one touchdown, and one pass breakup in nine games. He was named Fourth Team All-SEC by Phil Steele.
