
The St. Louis Battlehawks released defensive tackle Isaiah Coe and placed defensive tackle Kobe Smith on the retired list on Saturday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Isaiah Coe is six foot two and weighs 311 pounds. A native of Homewood, Illinois, Coe attended the Indianapolis Colts rookie minicamp in 2024. The St. Louis Battlehawks drafted Coe in the sixth round (45th pick) in the 2024 UFL College Draft. The Battlehawks signed Coe on October 3, 2024.
Collegiately, Coe played one season at Iowa Western Community College in 2019 making 37 tackles (23 solos, 14 assists), 13 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles in 10 games for the Reivers.
Then, Coe transferred to Oklahoma (2021-23) making 55 tackles (18 solos, 37 assists), 15 tackles for loss, three sacks, and one blocked kick in 37 games for the Sooners.
Kobe Smith is six foot two and weighs 312 pounds. The 26-year-old from Lawrenceville, Georgia, signed with the St. Louis Battlehawks on January 20, 2024. In 2024, Smith made 20 tackles (11 solo, 9 assists) and three tackles for loss in nine games. The Battlehawks re-signed him on September 24, 2024.
The Tennessee Titans signed Smith as an undrafted free agent on May 7, 2020. He later spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Atlanta Falcons. In 2022 with Philadelphia, Smith made six tackles (2 solos, 4 assists), and one pass breakup in three preseason games. He was on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad when they won Super Bowl LV.
The San Antonio Brahams signed Smith on March 29, 2023. In 2023, Smith made seven tackles (2 solos, 5 assists) and half a sack in three games. Later, he signed with the New York Giants on June 15, 2023. He made seven tackles (2 solos, 5 assists). The Giants released him on August 29, 2023.
Collegiately, Smith played four seasons at South Carolina (2016-19) making 84 tackles (39 solos, 45 assists), seven tackles for loss, and two sacks in 48 games for the Gamecocks.
