The Swarco Raiders Tirol signed defensive back Aaron Maddox on Monday.
Aaron Maddox is six foot and weighs 210 pounds. The 27-year-old from North Augusta, South Carolina, signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2023. In 2023, he made three tackles (3 solos) in one preseason game. The Colts released him on August 15, 2023.
Collegiately, Maddox played one season at Pima Community College in 2017 making 58 tackles (29 solos, 29 assists), one interception for three yards, and three pass breakups in eight games for the Aztecs. He was named Second Team All-American and First Team All-ACCAC.
Next, he transferred to Colorado (2018-19) making 34 tackles (26 solos, 8 assists), two tackles for loss, and two forced fumbles in 16 games for the Buffaloes. Then, he transferred to Southern Illinois in 2020 making four tackles (4 solos), one interception, and one pass breakup in one game for the Salukis.
He concluded his collegiate career at Campbell University (2021-22) making 64 tackles (38 solos, 26 assists), half a tackle for loss, one interception, and four pass breakups in 14 games for the Fighting Camels.
