The Arlington Renegades signed linebacker Charlie Thomas III on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Charlie Thomas III is six foot three and weighs 216 pounds. The 25-year-old from Thomasville, Georgia, re-signed with the Cleveland Browns on January 15, 2024. In 2024, he was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury and was released on August 5, 2024.
The Cleveland Browns signed Thomas III as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. In 2023, he made 14 tackles (5 solos, 9 assists), and one pass breakup in four preseason games. In the regular season, Thomas III made two tackles (2 solos) in four games.
Collegiately, Thomas III played five seasons at Georgia Tech (2018-22) making 313 tackles (188 solos, 125 assists), 37 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, nine pass breakups, four interceptions for 28 yards, and seven forced fumbles in 56 games for the Yellow Jackets.
He was named Third Team All-ACC and Second Team All-ACC by the Associated Press in 2022, and an All-ACC Honorable Mention in 2021.
