
The Michigan Panthers are set to sign defensive back Tyree Gillespie according to Pro Football Newsroom reporter James Larsen.
Tyree Gillespie is six foot and weighs 202 pounds. The 26-year-old from Ocala, Florida, was drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders in the fourth round (143rd pick) in the 2021 NFL Draft. In 2021, he made eight tackles (1 solo, 7 assists) in 11 games. He also spent time with the Tennessee Titans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans, and Kansas City Chiefs.
In 2022, he played three games for the Jaguars. The Kansas City Chiefs signed Gillespie on December 5, 2023. In 2024, he made six tackles (6 solos) in three preseason games. The Chiefs released him on September 4, 2024.
Collegiately, Gillespie played four seasons at Missouri (2017-20) making 146 tackles (102 solos, 44 assists), seven tackles for loss, two sacks, 12 pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 41 games for the Tigers.
