The NASCAR Xfinity Series visited Phoenix Raceway on Saturday afternoon in the GOVX 200. Hendrick Motorsports driver Alex Bowman started the race on the pole with Haas Racing driver Sheldon Creed starting in the second position.

Alex Bowman dominated the race early leading 48 laps on his way to winning Stage 1. In the second stage, Austin Hill lost control of his car before slamming into Sheldon Creed and Dean Thompson bringing out the third caution on lap 63. Justin Allgaier went on to win Stage 2.

In the final stage, there were two more cautions. The first happened on lap 148 when Dawson Cram crashed in Turn 1, and in the closing laps, Nick Leitz hit the wall on the front stretch sending the race into overtime. Allgaier had a comfortable lead before Leitz’s crash.

In overtime, Alex Bowman passed Justin Allgaier for the lead. On the last lap, Aric Almirola closed in on Bowman heading into Turn 4. He made slight contact with Bowman on his way to winning the race by .045 seconds.

The rest of the top ten finishers were Brandon Jones third, Ryan Sieg fourth, Justin Allgaier fifth, Taylor Gray sixth, Sam Mayer seventh, Christian Eckes eighth, Jesse Love ninth, and Nick Sanchez tenth.

There were six cautions for 46 laps and 14 lead changes among five drivers. Justin Allgaier led the most laps in this race (130), while Aric Almirola led 25 laps, and Alex Bowman led 50 laps.
