The Houston Roughnecks signed wide receiver Lawrence Keys III on Saturday according to Pro Football Newsroom writer James Larsen.
Lawrence Keys III is five foot eleven and weighs 170 pounds. The 25-year-old from New Orleans, Louisiana, signed with the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. In 2024, he made one catch for 13 yards in one preseason game. The Bills released him on August 20, 2024.
Collegiately, Keys III played four seasons at Notre Dame (2018-21) making 18 catches for 185 yards, six carries for 45 yards, 10 kick returns for 119 yards, and three punt returns for three yards in 21 games for the Fighting Irish.
Then, he transferred to Tulane (2022-23) making 59 catches for 858 yards, nine touchdowns, nine carries for 68 yards, one touchdown, 26 kick returns for 698 yards, two punt returns for 14 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 23 games for the Green Wave.
