
The San Antonio Brahmas re-signed defensive tackle and released defensive tackle Bryan Mone on Saturday according to Pro Football Newsroom reporter James Larsen.
Jaylen Twyman is six foot two and weighs 285 pounds. The 25-year-old from Washington, D.C., signed with the Birmingham Stallions on December 24, 2023. He made one tackle (1 solo) in one game for the Birmingham Stallions in 2024 before he was released on May 1, 2024.
Then, the San Antonio Brahmas signed Twyman on May 16, 2024. He made 4 tackles (3 solos, 1 assist) and two sacks in two games. He finished the season making five tackles (4 solos, 1 assist), two sacks, and one pass breakup in three games. In the 2024 UFL playoffs, Twyman appeared in one game but recorded no stats. The Brahmas released him on August 17, 2024.
Twyman was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the sixth round (199th pick) in the 2021 NFL Draft. He spent two seasons on Minnesota’s practice squad. Then, he signed with the Miami Dolphins as a free agent on October 12, 2022, and spent the season on the practice squad. In 2023, Twyman made five tackles (2 solos, 3 assists) and 1.5 sacks in three preseason games for the Miami Dolphins.
Collegiately, Twyman played four seasons at Pittsburgh (2017-20) making 57 tackles (29 solos, 28 assists), 13.5 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, and two pass breakups in 26 games for the Panthers.
Bryan Mone is six foot three and weighs 345 pounds. The 29-year-old from Salt Lake City, Utah, signed with the Seattle Seahawks on April 28, 2019. Mone played four seasons in Seattle making 73 tackles (33 solos, 40 assists), 3 tackles for loss, 7 quarterback hits, 2 sacks, two pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 41 games. The San Antonio Brahmas signed Mone on August 27, 2024.
Collegiately, Mone played five seasons at Michigan (2014-18) making 42 tackles (8 solos, 34 assists), 5 tackles for loss, half a sack, two pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries in 48 games for the Wolverines. He was named an All-Big Ten Honorable Mention in 2018.
