The Memphis Showboats signed running back Jalen Jackson on Tuesday according to Pro Football Newsroom reporter James Larsen.
Jalen Jackson is five foot nine and weighs 216 pounds. The 24-year-old from Richmond, Virginia, signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. In 2024, he had 19 carries for 72 yards (3.79 AVG), one touchdown, and one tackle (1 solo) in three preseason games. The Jaguars released him on October 1, 2024.
Collegiately, Jackson six seasons at Villanova (2018-23) with 401 carries for 2,546 yards (6.3 AVG/A, 55.3 AVG/G), 26 touchdowns, 21 catches for 198 yards, two touchdowns, six kick returns for 128 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 46 games for the Wildcats.
In 2023, he had 132 carries for 981 yards (7.4 AVG/A, 89.2 AVG/G), nine touchdowns, and five catches for 53 yards in 11 games. He was named Second Team All-CAA in 2023.
