The San Antonio Brahmas signed long snapper Cameron Lyons on Friday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Cameron Lyons is six foot and weighs 225 pounds. The 26-year-old from Morgantown, West Virginia, signed with the Chicago Bears on January 10, 2024. In 2024, he played four preseason games handling long snapping duties for punts, extra points, and field goals. The Bears released him on August 27, 2024.
The New York Giants signed Lyons as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2023. The Giants released him on August 29, 2023.
Collegiately, Lyons played three seasons at Akron (2018-20) handling long snapping duties for punts, extra points, and field goals in 18 games for the Zips. He made three tackles (3 solos). He was named two two-time Academic All-MAC.
Then, he transferred to Charlotte (2021-22) handling long snapping duties for punts, extra points, and field goals in 23 games for the 49ers. He made two tackles (2 assists). Lyons was named a two-time All-Conference USA Honorable Mention (2021-22).
