
The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship visited Sebring International Raceway for the 73rd annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring in Sebring, Florida. The pole sitters for this were the No. 24 BMW M Team RLL of Philipp Eng, Dries Vanthoor, and Kevin Magnussen for GTP, and the No. 11 TDS Racing of Steven Thomas, Mikkel Jensen, and Hunter McElrea.
In GTD Pro, the No. 81 DragonSpeed Ferrari of Albert Costa, Davide Rigon, and Giacomo Altoè started on the pole, and the No. 21 Af Corse Ferrari of Simon Mann, Lilou Wadoux Ducellier, and Alessandro Pier Guidi were on the pole in GTD.
Throughout the 12-hour race, 12 cars did not finish due to being involved in crashes or mechanical issues. There were 40 laps under caution. The Porsche Penske cars came alive at night time when the No. 7 Porsche driven by Felipe Nasr, Nick Tandy, and Laurens Vanthoor were in a battle with the No. 31 Cadillac Whelen of Jack Aitken, Earl Bamber, and Frederik Vesti.
Once the No. 7 Porsche got by the Cadillac Whelen, their teammates, the No. 6 of Matt Campbell, Kevin Estre, and Mathieu Jaminet also got by to take second place. The Cadillac Whelen would lose one more spot to the No. 93 Acura Meyer Shank Racing of Nick Yelloly, Alex Palou, and Renger van der Zande to finish in fourth place.
The winners of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring were the No. 7 Porsche Penske of Felipe Nasr, Nick Tandy, and Laurens Vanthoor in GTP, the No. 43 Inter Europol Competition of Tom Dillmann, Bijoy Garg, and Jeremy Clarke in LMP2, the No. 77 AO Racing of Laurin Heinrich, Klaus Bachler, and Alessio Picariello won in GTD Pro, and the No. 57 Winward Racing of Russell Ward, Philip Ellis, and Indy Dontje won in GTD.
