Montreal Alouettes sign defensive back Quenton Meeks through 2026

The Montreal Alouettes signed defensive back Quenton Meeks to a two-year contract through the 2026 season on Wednesday.

Quenton Meeks is six foot one and weighs 2015 pounds. The 27-year-old from San Diego, California, made 29 tackles (18 solos, 11 assists), one sack, and two interceptions in 10 games for the Memphis Showboats in 2024.

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed Meeks as an undrafted free agent on April 30, 2018. He also spent time with the Los Angeles Chargers and the Tennessee Titans. Meeks made 8 tackles (7 solos, 1 assist), and one punt return for one yard in 14 regular season games, of which 12 were in Jacksonville and two in Los Angeles.

The Tampa Bay Bandits drafted Meeks in the second round (290th pick) of the 2022 USFL Supplemental Draft. In 2022, he made 49 tackles (29 solos, 20 assists), and one interception in nine games. In 2023, the Tampa Bay Bandits rebranded as the Memphis Showboats. He made 21 tackles (12 solos, 9 assists), and one interception in seven games.

Meeks is the son of Ron Meeks, who was an NFL coach for 22 yards and won Super Bowl XLI in 2007 as a defensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts over the Chicago Bears.

Collegiately, Meeks played three seasons at Stanford (2015-17) making 117 tackles (74 solos, 47 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, seven interceptions for 144 yards, two touchdowns, and 18 pass breakups in 38 games for the Cardinal. He was named Second Team All-PAC 12 in 2017.
