
The NASCAR Xfinity Series visited Homestead-Miami Speedway on Saturday afternoon for the Hard Rock Bet 300. Joe Gibbs Racing driver Taylor Gray started the race on the pole JR Motorsports driver Connor Zilisch starting in the second position. Taylor Gray led seven laps and finished in 23rd place while led two laps finishing in 12th place.
In Stage 1, there were three cautions including two spins by Kris Wright and Justin Bonsignore. Late in stage one, Sammy Smith passed Kyle Sieg on the last lap to win the first stage. In Stage 2, there were no cautions. Hendrick Motorsports driver Kyle Larson passed Sam Mayer for the lead and led 11 laps to win Stage 2.
Kyle Larson started in 17th place. He dominated the race leading 132 laps. With six laps to go, Taylor Gray spun at the front stretch to bring out the sixth caution and sent the race to overtime. In overtime, Larson spun the tires allowing Austin Hill to take the lead.
The lead came down to Hill, Larson, Allgaier, and Sam Mayer. Justin Allgaier took the lead on the final lap after Hill got high in Turn 1 to win his second consecutive race by 0.348 seconds over Sam Mayer. Allgaier led a total of 21 laps. In addition, Allgaier won $100,000 in the Dash 4 Cash bonus.
The rest of the top ten finishers were Austin Hill third, Kyle Larson fourth, Sheldon Creed fifth, Jesse Love sixth, Brandon Jones seventh, Nick Sanchez eighth, Daniel Dye ninth, and Carson Kvapil tenth. There were six cautions for 31 laps and 19 lead changes among 11 drivers.
