
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed offensive linemen Darrin Paulo and Bryson Broadway on Wednesday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Darrin Paulo is six foot five and weighs 320 pounds. The 28-year-old from Sacramento, California, re-signed with the Memphis Showboats on November 9, 2023. In 2024, Paulo started 10 games. In 2024, Memphis’s offense ranked last in total offense (2,303), rushing yards (650), passing yards (1,653), yards per game (230.3), and seventh in touchdowns (21). The Showboats re-signed him on August 27, 2024, and released him on January 23, 2025.
The New Orleans Saints signed Paulo as an undrafted free agent in 2020. Paulo had stints with the Denver Broncos and Detroit Lions. The Tampa Bay Bandits signed Paulo on June 10, 2022, and was placed on the practice squad. He played one game for the Bandits in 2022 before returning to Detroit on July 29, 2022, and spent the season on the practice squad. He played three preseason games for the Detroit Lions in 2023. He was released on August 27, 2023.
Collegiately, Paulo played four seasons at Utah (2016-19) playing both tackle positions in 53 games for the Utes. In 2019, he was named First Team All-Pac 12 after helping Utah finish the season ranked No. 1 in the Pac-12 in rushing offense (204.1).
Bryson Broadway is six foot five and weighs 290 pounds. A native of Dawsonville, Georgia, Broadway is eligible for the 2025 NFL Draft.
Collegiately, Broadway played two seasons at Eastern Illinois University (2020-21) playing right tackle and left tackle in 16 games for the Panthers. In 2021, Eastern Illinois averaged 13.90 points per game, 89.1 rushing yards per game, 187.20 passing yards per game, 276.3 total yards per game, 17 touchdowns, and allowed 23 sacks finishing 1-10 for the season.
Next, he transferred to Georgia State in 2022 playing 11 games for the Panthers. In 2022. Georgia State averaged 30 points per game, 213.5 rushing yards per game, 203.58 passing yards per game, 417.1 total yards per game, 47 touchdowns, and allowed 34 sacks finishing 4-8 for the season.
Then, he transferred to Georgia Southern (2023-24) playing right tackle in 23 games for the Eagles. In 2024, Georgia Southern averaged 28 points per game, 127.6 rushing yards per game, 237.77 passing yards per game, 365.4 total yards per game, 46 touchdowns, and allowed 29 finishing 8-5 for the season appearing in the New Orleans Bowl against Sam Houston State. Broadway was named Second Team All-Sun Belt Conference and First Team All-Sun Belt Conference by Phil Steele.
