The Montreal Alouettes released defensive back Cre’Von Leblanc on Friday according to the CFL Transactions page.

Cre’Von Leblanc is five foot ten and weighs 190 pounds. The 30-year-old from Belle Glade, Florida, signed with the Montreal Alouettes on April 11, 2024. In 2024, he made four tackles on special teams in five games.

The New England Patriots signed Leblanc as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2016. He also had stints with the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins, Houston Texans, and the Las Vegas Raiders.

Leblanc played 52 NFL regular season games, of which 16 were starts making 118 tackles (102 solos, 16 assists), three tackles for loss, three quarterback hits, two sacks, two interceptions for 24 yards, one touchdown, 18 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.

The Arlington Renegades signed Leblanc on January 29, 2023. In 2023, he made 17 tackles (13 solos, 4 assists), one tackle for loss, and one breakup in nine games. In the XFL playoffs, Leblanc made five tackles (3 solos, 2 assists) and one interception helping the Renegades win the XFL Championship over the D.C. Defenders 35-26.

Collegiately, Leblanc played four seasons at Florida Atlantic (2012-15) making 171 tackles (124 solos, 47 assists), three tackles for loss, six interceptions for 103 yards, one touchdown, 29 pass breakups, 30 kick returns for 671 yards, and eight punt returns for 38 yards in 43 games for the Owls. He was named the Team Defensive MVP in 2015.
