The Lehigh Valley IronPigs (2-1) concluded a three-game homestand on Sunday afternoon against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (1-2) from Coca-Cola Park. Mick Abel was on the mound for Lehigh Valley against Edgar Barclay of Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Lehigh Valley catcher Payton Henry went 1 for 4 with a double, and one RBI, while left fielder Oscar Mercado went 1 for 3 with a double, and one RBI, and center fielder Cal Stevenson went 1 for 3 with a single and one RBI.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre catcher Ronaldo Hernández led the way going 2 for 4 with a double, two walks, one home run, and three RBIs, leading the RailRiders to a 14-3 win. Second baseman Jorbit Vivas went 3 for 5 with a double, a walk, one stolen base, and three RBIs, and shortstop Andrew Velazquez went 3 for 5 with a walk and one stolen base.

Lehigh Valley starter Mick Abel pitched five innings, allowing nine hits, four runs, two walks, and four strikeouts throwing 80 pitches, of which 50 were strikes losing his first game of the season.
