
The Saskatchewan Roughriders and offensive lineman Logan Ferland agreed to a two-year contract extension through the 2027 season on Monday. Ferland was already under contract through the 2025 season.
Logan Ferland is six foot five and weighs 306 pounds. The 27-year-old from Melfort, Saskatchewan, re-signed with the Roughriders on January 24, 2024.
In 2024, Saskatchewan’s offense averaged 26.6 points per game, 355.7 net offense per game, 89.6 rushing yards per game, 278.8 passing yards per game, 45 touchdowns, and 35 sacks allowed finishing 9-8-1 in the regular season. They were eliminated in the Western Final against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Ferland was named a CFL West All-Star and the All-CFL Team.
In 2023, he started 18 games. Saskatchewan finished eighth in average points per game (20.3), sixth in offensive touchdowns (34), fifth in average net offense (346.4), eighth in average rushing yards (84.4), third in average passing yards (280.4), and seventh in sacks allowed (54). Ferland has played 32 games for the Roughriders in two seasons. The Roughriders signed Ferland as a free agent in 2019.
Ferland played five seasons for the Regina Thunder (CJFL) making one tackle and three tackles on special teams. He was named a 2018 CFFL All-Canadian and PFC All-Star Team. In 2016 and 2017, he was selected as a PFC All-Star team.
