Report: Houston Roughnecks sign defensive end Tashawn Bower

The Houston Roughnecks signed defensive end Tashawn Bower on Tuesday according to Pro Football Newsroom reporter James Larsen.

Tashawn Bower is six foot five and weighs 250 pounds. The 30-year-old from Livingston, New Jersey, signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent on May 1, 2017. He also spent time with the New England Patriots, the Las Vegas Raiders, and the New York Giants.

Bower made 23 tackles (16 solos, 7 assists), four tackles for loss, two quarterback hits, two sacks, and one pass breakup in 26 career games, of which three were starts. Bower played 11 games for the Vikings, nine for the Patriots, and six for the Giants.

Collegiately, Bower played four seasons at LSU (2013-16) making 60 tackles (22 solos, 38 assists), 13 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, two pass breakups, and two forced fumbles in 37 games for the Tigers.
