The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed defensive lineman Aaron Patrick on Friday.

Aaron Patrick is six foot four and weighs 245 pounds. The 28-year-old from Dayton, Ohio, went undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft. The Jacksonville Jaguars signed Patrick on December 14, 2020, and re-signed with them on January 4, 2021. In 2021, he made six tackles (4 solos, 2 assists) and one sack in two preseason games.

Patrick started the season on Jacksonville’s practice squad before the Denver Broncos signed him on September 23, 2021. He played two seasons in Denver making 11 tackles (7 solos, 4 assists) in 17 games. In 2023, he made two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) and one sack in two preseason games. The Broncos released him on August 29, 2023.

Collegiately, Patrick played five seasons at Eastern Kentucky University (2015-19) making 177 tackles (83 solos, 94 assists), 41 tackles for loss, 25 sacks, one interception for 39 yards, three pass breakups, and four forced fumbles in 48 games for the Colonels.

Patrick was named First Team FCS All-American in 2019, three-time First Team All-OVC (2016, 2018-19), OVC Defensive Player of the Year in 2019, and was a finalist for the 2019 STATS Buck Buchanan Award.
