The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed defensive back Qwuantrezz Knight on Tuesday according to the CFL Transactions page.

Qwuantrezz Knight is six foot and weighs 199 pounds. The 26-year-old from Gretna, Florida, signed with the Birmingham Stallions on September 24, 2024. He attended training camp and was released on March 20, 2025.

The San Francisco 49ers signed Knight as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2022. In 2022, Knight made four tackles (3 solos, 1 assist) in three preseason games. The 49ers released him on August 30, 2022. He would re-sign with the 49ers on August 31, 2022, and spent the season on the practice squad.

In 2023, Knight made 9 tackles (4 solos, 5 assists) and one pass breakup in three preseason games, and returned to San Francisco’s practice squad. Then, the Arizona Cardinals signed Knight off of the 49ers practice squad on September 18, 2023. He appeared in six regular-season games for the Cardinals and was released by Arizona on March 21, 2024.

Collegiately, Knight played three seasons at Maryland (2016-18) making 45 tackles (32 solos, 13 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, and one forced fumble in 27 games for the Terrapins. Next, Knight transferred to Kent State in 2019 making 74 tackles (46 solos, 28 assists), 10.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, two pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 11 games for the Golden Flashes.

Then, Knight transferred to UCLA (2020-21) making 105 tackles (76 solos, 29 assists), 13 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, five pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one touchdown in 19 games for the Bruins. He was named Second Team All-PAC 12 and Third Team All-PAC 12 in 2021.
