
The Michigan Panthers signed quarterback Alan Bowman and released offensive lineman Grant Miller on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Alan Bowman is six foot three and weighs 220 pounds. The 25-year-old from Grapevine, Texas, completed 204 of 340 passes (60%) for 2,423 yards, 16 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, 24 carries for -38 yards, one catch for 11 yards, and one receiving touchdown in 11 games for the Oklahoma Cowboys in 2024.
Collegiately, Bowman played three seasons at Texas Tech (2018-20) completing 478 of 713 passes (67%) for 5,260 yards, 33 touchdowns, 17 interceptions, 46 carries for -9 yards, two rushing touchdowns, and one catch for eight yards in 19 games for the Red Raiders. He was named a two-time First Team Academic All-Big 12 (2019-20).
Next, he transferred to Michigan (2021-22) completing 8 of 11 passes (73%) for 69 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in seven games for the Wolverines.
Then, he transferred to Oklahoma State (2023-24) completing 508 of 841 passes (60%) for 5,883 yards, 31 touchdowns, 26 interceptions, 50 carries for -14 yards, two rushing touchdowns, two catches for 14 yards, one receiving touchdown, and one tackle (1 solo) in 25 games for the Cowboys. He was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team.
Grant Miller is six foot three and weighs 306 pounds. The 26-year-old from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, signed with the Birmingham Stallions on March 10, 2025. He attended training camp and the Stallions released him on March 20, 2025. The Michigan Panthers signed Miller on April 7, 2025. He did not play in their game last Sunday against the San Antonio Brahmas.
The Los Angeles Rams signed Grant as an undrafted free agent on May 15, 2023. Miller spent most of the 2023 season on the practice squad. In 2024, he played two preseason games. The Rams released him on August 25, 2024.
Collegiately, Miller played three seasons at Vanderbilt (2018-20) playing center in 31 games for the Commodores. In 2020, Vanderbilt averaged 14.78 points per game, 110.1 rushing yards per game, 219.9 passing yards per game, 330 yards per game, 17 touchdowns, and allowed 19 sacks finishing 0-9 for the season.
Then, Miller transferred to Baylor (2021-22) playing right guard in 26 games for the Bears. In 2022, Baylor averaged 32.15 points per game, 182.4 rushing yards per game, 231.46 passing yards per game, 413.8 total yards per game, 56 touchdowns, and allowed 22 sacks finishing 6-7 for the season making an appearance in the Armed Forces Bowl.
Miller was named First Team All-Big 12 by Pro Football Network, Second Team All-Big 12 by the Associated Press and Phil Steele, and a Big-12 Honorable Mention in 2022.
