
The Montreal Alouettes signed defensive back Don Callis to a two-year contract through the 2026 season on Monday.
Don Callis is six foot and weighs 184 pounds. The 23-year-old from Los Angeles, California, attended the San Francisco 49ers rookie minicamp in 2024 before signing with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent on July 30, 2024. He did not play in the preseason due to an injury and was released on August 13, 2024.
Collegiately, Callis played four seasons in East Central University (Oklahoma) (2019-22) making 77 tackles (47 solos, 30 assists), three tackles for loss, three interceptions for 35 yards, 20 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 27 games for the Tigers.
Then, he transferred to Troy in 2023 making 26 tackles (13 solos, 13 assists), one tackle for loss, one sack, four pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 14 games for the Trojans.
