The Memphis Showboats signed defensive tackle Ja’Mion Franklin and linebacker Andrew Dowell and released linebacker Yvandy Rigby and defensive back Tenny Adewusi on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Ja’Mion Franklin is six foot two and weighs 309 pounds. The 25-year-old from Ridgely, Maryland, signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent on May 3, 2024. The Ravens released him on May 28, 2024.

Collegiately, Franklin played three seasons at Notre Dame (2018-20) making four tackles (3 solos, 1 assist) in 12 games for the Fighting Irish. Then, he transferred to Duke (2022-23) making 56 tackles (17 solos, 39 assists), seven tackles for loss, four sacks, six pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 26 games for the Blue Devils. He was named Academic All-ACC in 2022.

Andrew Dowell is six foot one and weighs 225 pounds. The 28-year-old from Cleveland, Ohio, signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2019. He suffered a hamstring injury during training camp and was released on August 10, 2019.

The New Orleans Saints signed Dowell on November 20, 2019. Dowell played three seasons in New Orleans making 22 tackles (13 solos, 9 assists), and two forced fumbles in 34 games. In 2024, Dowell made five tackles (4 solos, 1 assist) in one preseason game. The Saints released him on August 27, 2024.

Collegiately, Dowell played four seasons at Michigan State (2016-19) making 260 tackles (103 solos, 157 assists), 15 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, one interception, 17 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries in 51 games for the Spartans.

Yvandy Rigby is six foot two and weighs 230 pounds. The 25-year-old from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, signed with the Memphis Showboats on December 23, 2024. Rigby has been inactive and did not play for the Showboats in 2025.

The Baltimore Ravens signed Rigby as an undrafted free agent on May 3, 2024. In 2024, Rigby made 18 tackles (14 solos, 4 assists) in three preseason games. The Ravens released him on August 27, 2024.

The New England Patriots signed Rigby on September 2, 2024. He spent 14 days on the practice squad before the Patriots released him on September 16, 2024. The Memphis Showboats drafted Rigby in the seventh round (49th pick) in the 2024 UFL College Draft.

Collegiately, Rigby played five seasons at Temple University (2019-23) making 207 tackles (114 solo, 93 assists), 11.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, six pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 35 games for the Owls. In 2023, Rigby made 68 tackles (31 solo, 37 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, one pass breakup, and one fumble recovery in eight games.

Rigby attended Egg Harbor Township High School. He played in the Phil Simms NJ North-South All-Star Football Classic his senior year and ran track. Then, Rigby played safety for coach Bill Chaplick at Milford Academy in New Berlin, New York, helping the team go 10-2 in the season making 57 tackles, 4 sacks, an interception, a fumble recovery, and a forced fumble.

Tenny Adewusi is six foot and weighs 206 pounds. The 27-year-old from Avenel, New Jersey, signed with the Memphis Showboats on January 31, 2025. In 2025, he made two tackles (2 solos) in one game against the D.C. Defenders.

The New York Giants signed Adewusi as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2019. In 2019, he made four tackles (4 solos) and one pass breakup in four preseason games. The Giants released him on August 31, 2019.

The Dallas Renegades drafted Adewusi in Phase 5 of the 2020 XFL Open Draft. In 2020, he made 22 tackles (16 solos, 6 assists) in five games for the league suspended operations due to the pandemic.

The Ottawa Redblacks signed Adewusi on May 9, 2021. He attended training camp and the Redblacks released him on June 5, 2022. The San Antonio Brahmas drafted Adewusi in the tenth round (79th pick) in Phase 2 of the 2022 XFL Draft. In 2023, he made 50 tackles (30 solos, 20 assists), one tackle for loss, three quarterback hits, and two interceptions for five yards in ten games.

The Arlington Renegades signed Adewusi on February 19, 2024. In 2024, he made 32 tackles (19 solos, 13 assists), one tackle for loss, one sack, one interception, and two pass breakups in eight games.

Collegiately, Adewusi played four seasons at Delaware (2015-18) making 89 tackles (64 solos, 25 assists), one tackle for loss, two interceptions for seven yards, 17 pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 39 games for the Fightin’ Blue Hens.
