
The Memphis Showboats re-signed defensive back Ravarius Rivers on Tuesday according to Pro Football Newsroom reporter James Larsen.
Ravarius Rivers is six foot two and weighs 210 pounds. The 25-year-old from Ellenwood, Georgia, signed with the Memphis Showboats on November 5, 2024. He attended training camp and was released on March 20, 2025.
Rivers joined the Green Bay Blizzard in 2023 making 82 tackles (62 solos, 20 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, and three pass breakups in 11 games. He was voted as the team’s defensive MVP by the coaches and players.
Rivers re-signed with the Green Bay Blizzard on November 27, 2023. In 2024, Rivers made 53 tackles (33 solos, 20 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions for 28 yards, 9 pass breakups, 13 kick returns for 225 yards, and one punt return for 10 yards in eight games. He was named the IFL Defensive Player of the Year. Rivers had signed with the San Antonio Gunslingers on October 14, 2024, before signing with the Memphis Showboats.
Collegiately, Rivers played one season at Miles College in 2016 making 17 tackles (13 solos, 4 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, one interception for 10 yards, and two pass breakups in 10 games for Golden Bears. Then, Rivers transferred to Valdosta State (2017-18, 2022) making 116 tackles (73 solos, 43 assists), 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack, four interceptions for 66 yards, one touchdown, 14 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 25 games for the Blazers.
