The St. Louis Battlehawks placed quarterback Chevan Cordeiro (hamstring) on the injured reserve on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Chevan Cordeiro is six foot one and weighs 200 pounds. The 25-year-old from Honolulu, Hawaii, signed with the St. Louis Battlehawks on December 19, 2024. Cordeiro has yet to play for the Battlehawks in 2025.

The St. Louis Battlehawks drafted Cordeiro in the first round (5th pick) of the 2024 UFL College Draft. The Seattle Seahawks signed Cordeiro as an undrafted free agent on May 3, 2024, and was released on May 8, 2024.

Collegiately, Cordeiro played four seasons at Hawaii (2018-21) completing 489 of 835 passes (59%) for 6,167 yards, 45 touchdowns, 22 interceptions, 295 carries for 1,083 yards, 13 touchdowns, punted the ball five times for 180 yards (36.0 AVG) with a long of 53 yards, one from inside the 20-yard line, and one from 50-plus yards, and two tackles (2 solos) in 36 games for the Rainbow Warriors.

Then, he transferred to San Jose State (2022-23) completing 482 of 789 passes (61.1%) for 6,024 yards, 43 touchdowns, 10 interceptions, 219 carries for 537 yards, 12 touchdowns, and one catch for 19 yards in 25 games for the Spartans. He was named Second Team All-Mountain West in 2022 and First Team All-Mountain West in 2023.
