The B.C. Lions signed wide receiver/kick returner Jermaine Jackson on Friday.

Jermaine Jackson is five foot seven and weighs 170 pounds. The 24-year-old from Oakland, California, signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024.

In 2024, he suffered an injury in training camp and did not play in the preseason. He spent most of the season on the practice squad and appeared in four regular-season games with one carry for -1 yard, eight kick returns for 187 yards (23.38 AVG), and seven punt returns for 68 yards (9.71 AVG). The Saints released him on November 19, 2024.

Collegiately, Jackson played two seasons at the College of San Mateo (2018-19) making 61 catches for 796 yards, five touchdowns, 61 carries for 405 yards, five rushing touchdowns, 19 kick returns for 419 yards, three punt returns for 20 yards, and two tackles (2 solos) in 24 games for the Bulldogs. He was named First Team All-State and helped San Mateo appear in the CCCAA Northern California Football Conference Championship.

Then, he transferred to Idaho (2021-23) making 107 catches for 1,687 yards, six touchdowns, 16 carries for 129 yards, 21 kick returns for 638 yards, one touchdown, 33 carries for 540 yards, three touchdowns, and two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in 28 games for the Vandals. He was named Second Team All-Big Sky Conference and was named Team Captain in 2023.
