
The Michigan Panthers released quarterback Alan Bowman and placed linebacker Javin White (fractured forearm) on the injured reserve list on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Alan Bowman is six foot three and weighs 220 pounds. The 25-year-old from Grapevine, Texas, signed with the Michigan Panthers on April 14, 2025. Bowman was a third-string quarterback in Michigan’s game against the Memphis Showboats last Friday. He did not see any action.
Collegiately, Bowman played three seasons at Texas Tech (2018-20) completing 478 of 713 passes (67%) for 5,260 yards, 33 touchdowns, 17 interceptions, 46 carries for -9 yards, two rushing touchdowns, and one catch for eight yards in 19 games for the Red Raiders. He was named a two-time First Team Academic All-Big 12 (2019-20).
Next, he transferred to Michigan (2021-22) completing 8 of 11 passes (73%) for 69 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in seven games for the Wolverines.
Then, he transferred to Oklahoma State (2023-24) completing 508 of 841 passes (60%) for 5,883 yards, 31 touchdowns, 26 interceptions, 50 carries for -14 yards, two rushing touchdowns, two catches for 14 yards, one receiving touchdown, and one tackle (1 solo) in 25 games for the Cowboys. He was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team.
In 2024, Bowman completed 204 of 340 passes (60%) for 2,423 yards, 16 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, 24 carries for -38 yards, one catch for 11 yards, and one receiving touchdown in 11 games.
Javin White is six foot two and weighs 211 pounds. The 28-year-old from San Diego, California, re-signed with the Michigan Panthers on November 1, 2024. In 2025, he made five tackles (3 solos, 2 assists), one tackle for loss, and one forced fumble in four games.
The Las Vegas Raiders signed White as an undrafted free agent in 2020. He played four regular season games for the Raiders with four tackles (3 solos, 1 assist). In 2021, the Raiders released him and he later signed with the New York Jets.
White signed with the Chicago Bears on August 7, 2022. He played in one preseason game making two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) before he was placed on injured reserve. Then, the Michigan Panthers signed White on October 24, 2023.
In 2024, White made 40 tackles (26 solos, 14 assists), two tackles for loss, and one pass breakup in 10 games. In the USFL Conference Championship Game against the Birmingham Stallions, White made five tackles (3 solos, 2 assists), one tackle for loss, 1.5 sacks, one interception for seven yards, and one pass breakup.
The Panthers released him on July 20, 2024, and signed with the Chicago Bears on July 21, 2024. White played four preseason games in 2024 making seven tackles (5 solos, 2 assists). The Bears released him on August 26, 2024.
Collegiately, White played four seasons at UNLV (2016-19) with 201 tackles (124 solos, 77 assists), 18 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, nine interceptions for 151 yards, one touchdown, 25 pass breakups, seven forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 43 games for the Rebels.
White was an All-MWC Honorable Mention in 2019 and was named to the UNLV Football All-Decade Team at linebacker.
