
The Montreal Alouettes signed defensive lineman D.J. Coleman on Monday according to the CFL Transactions page.
D.J. Coleman is six foot five and weighs 283 pounds. The 26-year-old from Atlanta, Georgia, signed with the Birmingham Stallions on January 27, 2025. He attended training camp and was released on March 20, 2025.
The Jacksonville Jaguars signed Coleman as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. He played two seasons in Jacksonville making 14 tackles (7 solos, 7 assists) in six preseason games, and three tackles (1 solo, 2 assist) in one regular season game. The Jaguars released him on December 27, 2024.
Collegiately, Coleman played four seasons at Jacksonville State (2018-21) making 179 tackles (75 solos, 104 assists), 30.5 tackles for loss, 18 sacks, seven pass breakups, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and three kick returns for no yards in 47 games for the Gamecocks. He was named First Team All-OVC, Second Team All-American by STATS Perform, and Second Team All-OVC.
Then, he transferred to Missouri in 2022 making 38 tackles (24 solos, 14 assists), 10.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and three forced fumbles in 12 games for the Tigers.
