
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers released linebacker Max Charbonneau on Tuesday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Max Charbonneau is six foot three and weighs 225 pounds. The 25-year-old from Ottawa, Ontario, made seven tackles on special teams in 12 games. The Blue Bombers released him on November 8, 2024, and re-signed him on 11, 2024.
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers drafted Charbonneau in the eighth round (71st pick) of the 2023 CFL Draft. In 2023, Charbonneau made two tackles, one tackle for loss, and one tackle on special teams in one preseason game against the Saskatchewan Roughriders. The Blue Bombers released him on June 4, 2023, and re-signed him on November 28, 2023.
Charbonneau played five seasons at the University of Ottawa (2018-19, 2021-23) with 149 tackles (82 solos, 67 assists), 4.5 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, one pass breakup, and two blocked punts in 36 games for the Gee-Gees.
