Birmingham Stallions place OL Lachavious Simmons and LS Ryan Langan on injured reserve

The Birmingham Stallions placed offensive lineman Lachavious Simmons and long snapper Ryan Langan on the injured reserve list on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Lachavious Simmons is six foot five and weighs 315 pounds. The 28-year-old from Selma, Alabama, signed with the Birmingham Stallions on December 10, 2024. In 2025, he played five games. Birmingham is averaging 17 points per game, 4.5 rushing yards per game, 183.6 passing yards per game, 287.8 total offense per game, eight touchdowns, and allowing 11 sacks.

The Chicago Bears drafted Simmons in the seventh round (227th pick) of the 2020 NFL Draft. He spent three seasons in Chicago playing two games, of which one was a start. The Bears released him on September 12, 2022. He also spent time with the Arizona Cardinals and Tennessee Titans.

Collegiately, Simmons played four seasons at Tennessee State (2016-19) playing left tackle, left guard, and right tackle in 39 games for the Tigers. In 2019, Tennessee State averaged 26.2 points per game, 139.4 rushing yards per game, 260.7 passing yards per game, 400.1 total yards per game, and 34 touchdowns.

Ryan Langan is six foot one and weighs 238 pounds. The 26-year-old from Kearney, Nebraska, re-signed with the Birmingham Stallions on August 15, 2024. In 2025, Langan played five games. He has helped kicker Harrison Mevis make 10 of 11 field goals (90%) with a long of 53 yards, and punter Colby Wadman averaged 45.6 yards per punt with a long of 62 yards and three touchbacks.

The Los Angeles Chargers signed Langan as an undrafted free agent on May 14, 2021. The Chargers released him on August 24, 2021. The Birmingham Stallions signed Langan on July 12, 2023. In 2024, he played ten games helping the Stallions win their third consecutive championship (2 USFL, 1 UFL).

Collegiately, Langan played four seasons at Georgia Southern (2017-20) making three tackles (3 solo) in 50 games for the Eagles. In the 2020-21 Spring season, Langan was a finalist for the Patrick Mannelly Long Snapper of the Year Award. He was named First Team All-Sun Belt and Third Team All-American.
